From the time I learned how to read, I was in love with the written word. Writing has not only been cathartic, it has opened more doors in my professional life than I would have ever imagined. Since graduating from Howard University in 2011, I’ve spent my career developing communications strategies for some of the most innovative companies in the world.

As a web producer with Bloomberg Government in Washington, D.C., I brought sequestration, the 2011 Health Care Law ruling and the 2012 Presidential election to life for clients across multiple industries through compelling digital news. Upon moving back to Detroit to work for Ford Motor Company in 2013, I led employees through the renaissance of the Lincoln Brand and the North American International Auto Show through storytelling and activations. That experience led me to Google where I advised senior leadership on the impact of the company’s explosive growth on the employee population.

Today I balance consulting Fortune 500 companies on change communications strategies with the Daggerwing Group and blogging on the millennial experience for the Huffington Post and Buzzfeed.
